Honeywell is a big company that makes all kinds of different products. They've got their own line of air cleaners (you can find some info about them on their web site here, but there's not much information there unless you know exactly what model you want to buy - in that case they've got some manuals online). They've got a lot of mid-range products, so if you are looking in the $100 to $200 range I would review some of theirs. However, for better or cheaper products you've probably got more options elsewhere.
Here are a couple of the more popular models:
Honeywell HFD-150 Germicidal Tower:
This is an anti-bacterial air purifier that is designed for somewhat smaller rooms (around 200 square feet) and goes for around $170. It uses an ionizer as well as a re-usable filter that you can clean yourself fairly easily. It also has a nice feature that lets you set it on a timer so that it will turn off after a certain number of hours (so you can save electricity if you're not going to be there and don't need it on). It's fairly quiet, with 3 modes you can use to determine how quickly it cycles the air through. It's also got a filter sensor to tell you when you need to clean it.
Some downsides, though: the timer doesn't turn it back on, so you have to set it each time you want to use it. It's also not a true HEPA filter - it captures 99% of particles vs. 99.97% for a HEPA filter. Also, you have to air dry the filter, which can take several hours.
Honeywell 50250 HEPA Circular Purifier
The 50250 is an air cleaner that uses a HEPA filter along with a charcoal pre-filter (designed to get rid of odors). It covers around 400 square feet and costs around $160. The HEPA filter is permanent, so you don't need to replace it, but you do have to replace the charcoal filter every few months. However, if you don't care about getting rid of odors, you don't have to worry about that.
This is overall a very good buy for its price range. The round configuration means it can suck in air from all around it, versus many other brands that only get it from a set direction. It's definitely not the best, but it's one of the best in its price range.
The downsides are that it can get pretty noisy. It also uses more electricity than many other similar brands. I also don't really like the look of it compared to a lot of others, but that only matters if you're keeping it out in the open.
This one has a washable pre-filter (which you don't have to replace) along with a true HEPA filter (this one meets the standard requirements). It cleans around 200 square feet and costs around $150.
Again, this one isn't the best on the market, but it's a good option if you're in this price range.
Honeywell has a lot of other options as well, mostly in the
$150 to $200 range - you can browse through
